Chelsea Townhouse – Internal Remodelling

​

The internal remodelling of this tall townhouse in the heart of Chelsea features an impressive five-storey staircase running from the basement to the fourth floor.

 

Our bespoke team carefully measured all 177 uneven steps to create a customised oak handrail. Using laser technology, we mapped each turn and individual height, ensuring a grand and continuous handrail throughout the property.

 

The entire house was redecorated, with all floors sanded to a specific tone after reviewing countless on-site samples. Electrics were updated and a full sprinkler system installed to meet building regulations. A new bathroom was fitted on the third floor, and new windows — including a Juliet balcony — were installed with successful planning consent.

 

Venetian plaster was applied to the guest WC walls, and limestone was used for the entrance stairs, complemented by a new entrance door. The team worked closely with the clients on every detail, from paint schedules to material selection. All internal doors were replaced to reinstate the Victorian grandeur of the home.

 

The result is an extravagant townhouse that now balances a modern feel with restored traditional features, emphasizing the grandness the house deeply deserve
