This previously unmodernised flat has now been fully transformed. The team reinstated the original proportions of the front drawing room and restored traditional ceiling cornices, bringing back the property’s period charm. The new floor plan features an open-plan kitchen and sitting area, a study, a principal bedroom, and a new bathroom clad in Venetian plaster. Through planning consent, the principal bedroom now benefits from a Juliet balcony, allowing fresh air and abundant natural light into the space.

 

All windows—including the front bay window—were upgraded, and new insulated timber floorboards with a soundproof membrane were installed to enhance comfort and performance.

 

Materials and finishes were carefully selected in collaboration with the client, complemented by bespoke joinery in both the bedrooms and bathrooms. The architects also curated all furniture, ensuring a cohesive and elegant interior that blends contemporary refinement with the home’s historic character.
